Dr. Hyman is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief, Pediatric
Gastroenterology at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. He chaired
the Pediatric Rome Working Team, charged with developing symptom-based
diagnoses for the childhood functional gastrointestinal disorders.
He serves as chairman of the medical advisory board of the American
Pseudo-Obstruction & Hirschprung's Disease Society, and as a member of the
advisory board of International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal
Disorders, and the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association. Dr. Hyman is an
advisory panel member with the USDA Pharmacopoeia for gastrointestinal
drugs.
Dr. Hyman is an accomplished author, reviewer, and speaker. He has
written several books and numerous articles for peer reviewed journals.
