 Dr. Thomas Bernik, chief of endovascular surgery is interviewed in a two part series on Lou Adler's Medical Journal, WOR 710 AM, regarding a limb-saving procedure for people with critical limb ischemia (CLI). CLI is characterized by narrowed vessels caused by the build up of plaque that does not allow blood flow to the limbs causing  pain and complications such as non-healing wounds, gangrene and without treatment, could lead to amputation.  Listen to part one broadcast on July 23, 2007 and part two on July 24, 2007.
