St. Vincent's Manhattan's President's Council
  • Are you a young professional interested in helping to serve your community?
  • Would you like to meet and work with other young people interested in making a difference?
  • Do you have some free time and would be willing to share your knowledge and expertise to help further the work of St. Vincent’s Hospital?

If so, we invite you to consider joining the President’s Council at St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan.

What is the President's Council?

The President’s Council is a group of young professionals dedicated to furthering the mission of the St. Vincent’s Hospital through participation in a variety of educational, social and charitable initiatives.

The President’s Council works to foster St. Vincent’s partnerships and affiliations with corporations, local businesses, community agencies and other health, social service and educational organizations.

As a dedicated corps of talented professionals, the group is invited to serve in a variety of voluntary activities that may include assignments in a number of diverse areas throughout the hospital as well as in more select events and activities.

The group works to promote the good work of the hospital and actively support its mission by participating in a variety of activities and events intended to build support for St. Vincent’s.

Activities and Events

  • Receptions or other social events aimed at building camaraderie and dedication to St. Vincent’s.
  • Select volunteer initiatives and on-going volunteer positions throughout the hospital.
  • Health education programs and seminars.
  • Presentations from select hospital programs or departments and tours of the hospital.
  • Discussions with the President of St. Vincent’s Hospital Manhattan
  • Special events that help attract support and positive exposure for the hospital and its programs.

Attributes and Duties of President’s Council Members

  • A young professional who is dedicated to community service, takes an active interest in community and civic affairs, and is committed to the service of others.
  • Members will seek to become knowledgeable about St. Vincent’s Hospital, its programs and services as well as its long tradition of service in the community.
  • Members will serve as strong advocates for St. Vincent’s to external audiences while promoting the Hospital and its programs.
  • Members are encouraged to assist in attracting financial support for St. Vincent’s Hospital mission of providing high quality and compassionate care to all.
