Ideal candidate will maintain departmental and site accountability for all security operations, responses and financial oversight, analysis and planning.

 

Train staff, conducts reviews, investigates and analysis sited hazard surveillance tours, incident reports, and hospital compliance complaints.  Develops performance improvement initiatives for staff.

 

Oversees and analysis the promotion of fire safety thought all hospital owned and leased facilities. Oversees hospital responses to all code alarms, fire drills and provides training for all hospital emergency codes IE. Code Red, Pink, Adam Etc. Oversees analyses, promotes and trains staff of the operation of infant abduction system.

 

Oversees analyses and ensures the appropriate response to all internal, external emergency codes and special events. Chairs of Co-chairs of site emergency preparedness committee. Liaison with Federal, State, County and local law enforcement and emergency management and disaster planning officials and entities.Manages transportation fleet vehicles and drivers.

 

Oversees the establishment implementation of effective safety programs which promote a staff and health full work environment.  With an emphasis on chemical, ergonomic and general safety and industrial hygiene.  Routinely updating of routine and periodic staff safety education and training and facilitates the JCAHO Environmental Rounding Program.

  

Requires an Associate degree and 5 years experience in health care Security Management and 10 years Law Enforcement Management background. Must be NYDOH licensed. Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Act, Worker Right to know Act, Hazardous Materials transportation Act, EPA air emissions, water and Hazardous waste a must. JCAHO Standards also required. bachelors degree preferred.
