What happens to the patients who are referred to a non-St. Vincent�s doctor?
Patients referred to outside doctors by St. Vincent�s physicians may present prescriptions from those doctors to the St. Vincent�s contracted pharmacy. The computer system will verify the referral relationship in order to dispense the medication at the discounted price.
Verification in these instances may, however, take up to 24 hours.
