For Jewish Patients

We are committed to providing high quality, culturally sensitive care to all our patients and have implemented amenities to help patients of all faiths and backgrounds feel comfortable here.  The following services are available for our Jewish patients:

Yehuda Memorial Center

Located on the first floor of the Spellman Building, Room 110, the center is a place for observant family members or visitors to have a bite to eat, read, and rest. 

 
Shabbas Elevator
The Shabbas elevator is programmed to stop on every floor during the Jewish Sabbath.  It is car  number 8 in the elevator bank of the Coleman Building, and is clearly marked.
Kosher Food
At admittance, patients can request kosher food and kosher meals will be delivered to their bedsides.
Rabbi
A Rabbi makes patient visits two days a week and is on call for emergencies. 
Sabbath Candles
Patients can request Sabbath candles from our pastoral care department.
