Position Description : Monitors the day-to-day activity of the Follow-up function. Recommends, develops and implements methods to improve the internal effectiveness of the Follow Up department.

• Daily monitor of staff productivity through use of RMW reporting.
• Monitor of staff performance through review of accounts and provision of feedback as needed

Responsible for the management of the Medical Records request process and database. Coordinates the printing of records and is responsible to escalate requests as submission deadlines approach.
Reviews and analyzes the Accounts Receivable for all Non-Governmental payers.

Expedites the follow up process ensuring that accounts are paid in a timely manner.
Analyzes paid accounts and credit balances in order to identify underpayments and initiates follow-up as needed.
Review and conduct Contract Management analysis to ensure that the contracted payers are honoring their contractual agreements for the reimbursement of claims.
Appropriately handles payer, patient or employee requests, concerns and discounts as filtered up from the staff or assigned by the Director or Vice President.
Effectively communicates with Billing, Denials, Cash Posting, HIM and Managed Care departments regarding issues that directly affect cash flow.
Appropriately evaluates the volume of incoming correspondence and reacts as needed by supplementing posting staff as needed to ensure backlogs do not develop.
Develops and submits Service Requests as required, and appropriately follows-up to ensure timely address of issues and/or the timely implementation of needed services.
Responsible to monitor the accuracy of activities performed by vendors and validates monthly vendor invoices.
Monitor of staff attendance using the E Time website for timekeeping maintenance. Completes annual Employee Performance Appraisals. Effectively manages departmental 'situations' that develop.
