Located in Harrison, New York, St. Vincent's Westchester was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1879. Today, St. Vincent's Westchester offers a continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to treat individuals in all stages of illness and recovery. In addition to its main site in Harrison, St. Vincent's Westchester offers outpatient services at sites in the Bronx, White Plains and Tuckahoe.
Summary: The Rehabilitation Therapist is responsible for providing services in accordance with professional standards to patients, ages 13 and above, who are being treated for a psychiatric illness and/or alcoholism/drug addiction; maintaining a safe and therapeutic hospital environment; supervising personnel and students as per assignment and participating in the development and implementation of quality improvement objectives, policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in recreation therapy, occupational therapy, creative arts therapy or vocational rehab counseling. Masters degree preferred. Must possess licensure, registration and/or certification in respective discipline. At least one year experience in a therapeutic setting preferred.
