Position Description :
|
The Perioperative Services Department is a Level I surgical unit that provides state-of-the-art care to patients during the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phase of the surgical or procedural visit. We provide advanced surgical technology in a broad range of specialties including: Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, Head & Neck, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, General, Urology, and Gynecology. Provides the delivery of effective and holistic patient care. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve patient outcomes for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients within an assigned patient care unit/area. Participates in interdisciplinary patient care activities. Collaborates with all healthcare workers in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications/Requirements: Current registration as a Licensed Professional Registered Nurse in the State of New York . Five plus years . of Operating Room experience required for specialty . Must have Orthopedic/General OR exp. Cardiac experience strongly desired. Must work Weekends and Holidays.
