Dr. Stephanie Bernik, Breast Cancer    

Stephanie F. Bernik, MD, FACS, is chief of breast surgery for the comprehensive breast program at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC) in New York City. Dr. Bernik specializes in treating young women under 40 diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a principal investigator for breast disease research at St. Vincent's, and has presented her research at symposia across the country. Dr. Bernik graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan.

Dr. Eli Bryk, Orthopaedics

Dr. Bryk, St. Vincent's Chairman of Orthopaedics, specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip in adults. He is an alumnus of Columbia College and received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Bryk was is the author of more than 50 publications and abstracts in peer reviewed orthopaedic journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. Dr. Bryk trained in both general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dr. Joseph Cicenia, Pulmonology

Dr. Joseph Cicenia, pulmonologist, received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. His clinical interests include lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. Dr. Cicenia is trained in the latest diagnostics and treatment options for lung cancer, including the superDimension/Bronchus system known as "Super D".

Dr. John Coppola, Cardiology  

Dr. John Coppola, chief of cardiology, specializes in cardiovascular disease and  interventional cardiology. He is an international expert at performing transradial catheterization, a procedure that provides less risk and faster recovery time for patients than traditional catheterization methods. He has been invited to present this procedure to interventional cardiologists in Japan, China and Romania and has received groups of physicians from both Japan and India. He is considered one of New York's most highly experienced physicians in this procedure.

Dr. Mary Marron-Corwin, Neonatology and Pediatrics  

Dr. Mary Marron-Corwin, interim chief of pediatrics and director of neonatology, has more than twenty years of experience in pediatrics and neonatology. She began her career in healthcare as a nurse at St. Vincent's before leaving to pursue her medical degree at Far Eastern Unviersity. Dr. Marron-Corwin has helped St. Vincent's NICU achieve impressive survival rates for premature infants with the best possible treatment options and care, giving at-risk babies the best chance at a normal, healthy life.

 Dr. Michael Eidelman, Dermatology 

Dr. Michael Eidelman is an amlumnus of Columbia University and received his degree in medicine from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. With a strong interest in both clinical and aesthetic dermatology, Dr. Eidelman has furthered his education with numerous continuing medical education courses on the latest products available and the art of facial rejuvenation. He has become an expert in cosmetic fillers and the latest cosmetic laser techniques. He is an authority in the use of BOTOX Cosmetic and lectures regularly on cosmetic procedures and general skin care.

Dr. Spencer Eth, Psychiatry

Dr. Spencer Eth, senior vice president and medical director of behavioral health services, is a graduate of New York University and received his doctorate from UCLA.  He is board certified in psychiatry, child psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Eth is the author or co-author of 89 journal articles and 49 book chapters. Dr. Eth has been honored in his field many times, as has been named a NAMI Exemplary Psychiatrist. Dr. Eth has testified before committees of the United States Senate and the House of Representatives about the psychiatric effects of the World Trade Center terrorist attack. 

Dr. Albert Favate, Stroke

Dr. Albert Favate is the director of St. Vincent's state-designated Stroke Center, a title given in recognition of excellence in treating stroke. Dr. Favate is board-certified in neurology, and is an expert on the diagnosis and tretment of stroke. He is highly-trained on the latest treatments for stroke, including the Penumbra system and the Merci Retriever.

Dr. Andrew Feldman, Sports Medicine

Dr. Andrew Feldman, orthopaedic surgeon, serves as head team physician for the New York Rangers Hockey Team. He is also head team physician for the Paris Basketball Racing Division 1 team and consults with college and professional athletes around the world. A recognized expert in his field, Dr. Feldman is often called upon to comment on the latest sports medicine techniques. He has been quoted in magazines and newspapers and has made numerous appearances on national television. Dr. Feldman has served as an orthopaedic consultant to the Cirque du Soleil and is medical editor for Men's Health Magazine. Dr. Michael Grasso, Urology

Dr. Michael Grasso is widely recognized as one of the world's foremost experts in minimally invasive treatments for urinary conditions and diseases, and he has been active in the development of advanced instrumentation to treat them. One of the many procedures in which Dr. Grasso excels is laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, which allows patients to keep most of their kidney while having a tumor removed. Dr. Grasso is a frequent lecturer and visiting professor at universities, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Dennis Greenbaum, Internal Medicine

Dr. Dennis Greenbaum, chairman of internal medicine, is a graduate of Rutgers University and received his medical degree from Georgetown University.  Dr. Greenbaum has a special interest in critical care medicine, and has held numerous national leadership positions on both internal medicine and critical care professional societies. Dr. Greenbaum has been interviewed many times for television and print publications.

Dr. Adam Kolker, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery  

Adam R. Kolker, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an aesthetic plastic surgeon in New York City specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. Dr. Kolker is board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Eric Legome, Emergency Medicine   

Dr. Eric Legome, chairman of the emergency department, has extensive clinical and academi experience in emergency medicine. He is an alumnus of Emory University and attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Legome oversees St. Vincent's Level 1 Trauma Center, which sees more than 60,000 patients annually. St. Vincent's Emergency Department has been on the front lines of many of the city's major disasters, including the recent crash of an airplane on the Hudson River.

Dr. Christopher Mills, Surgery 

Christopher B. Mills, M.D., F.A.C.S., chairman of the department of surgery at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers,is a board certified surgeon with a clinical practice in the breast center at St. Vincent's Comprehensive Cancer Center (SVCCC), New York, NY. Dr. Mills has a strong interest in all aspects of diseases of the breast and is an advocate of the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to breast cancer management in order to offer patients the best opportunity for a favorable outcome.

Dr. George Mussalli, Obstetrics and Gynecology  

Dr. George Mussalli earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology with the New York Medical College program at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, and Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York. He also completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. His clinical activities rang from maternal high-risk pregnancy care to fetal therapy. A respected lecturer and author, Dr. Mussalli has published in prestigious journals including Obstetrics & Gynecology, the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and the Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation.

Dr. Joseph Rahimian, Infectious Diseases

Dr. Joseph Rahimian, infectious disease physician, received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Rahimian has a wealth of expertise on a wide range of infectious disease, including the flu, lymes disease, shingles and HIV.

Dr. Andrew Sands, Foot and Ankle Surgery

Dr. Andrew Sands, chief of orthopaedics foot and ankle surgery, is an alumnus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He specializes in orthopaedic trauma, and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, including sports medicine, athroscopy, and total ankle replacement. Dr. Sands completed his residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt and his surgical intership at Lenox Hill Hospital before serving overseas in Operation Desert Shield and Storm. Following his tour, Dr. sands received advanced clinical experience in lower extremity trauma and reconstruction at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center.

Dr. Anthony Starpoli, Gastroenterology

Dr. Anthony Starpoli, gastroenterologist, specializes in treating a wide array of gasterointestinal problems, including gastroenterology reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, colon polyps and cancer, and irritable bowel syndrome and liver diseases. He is highly skilled in the latest minimally invasive techniques, including BARRX and EsophyX.  

Dr. Antonio Urbina, HIV/AIDS 

Antonio E. Urbina, medical director of St. Vincent's HIV/AIDS Education and Training Program, the largest HIV. education department in New York State. He received his MD from the University of Florida and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan. Dr. Urbina has practiced HIV medicine in New York City for more than a decade, and has pioneered innovative educational programming for community based clinics, hospitals and public health departments. Dr. Urbina's expertise is nationally recognized, and he currently serves on the Presidential Advisory Council (PACHA) on HIV/AIDS, a four year advisory council position that will help shape the future of the national AIDS strategy in the US.
