Dr. Michael Zervos is chief of thoracic surgery. He joined St. Vincent's from NYU Langone Medical Center, where he is an attending cardiothoracic surgeon and an assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery at New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Zervos is a talented and experienced surgeon who provides patients with the most advanced surgical treatments. He is known for his skill with high-risk cases and minimally invasive approaches to thoracic surgery. His areas of interest include lung, esophageal and mediastinal cancers, chest wall deformities and tumors, video-assisted thorascopy, thoracic spine exposure with open and thorascopic approaches, and stenting. Dr. Zervos earned his medical degree from the University of Crete Medical School, and completed his residency, cardiothoracic fellowship and senior cardiothoracic fellowship at New York University Medical Center.
