SAINT VINCENT CATHOLIC MEDICAL CENTERS APPOINTS
BART METZGER AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT FOR HUMAN RESOURCES

New York, NY, April 15, 2008 - Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers (Saint Vincent's) today announced the appointment of Bart Metzger as senior vice president for human resources. Bart will oversee all aspects of human resources while promoting a culture of performance and accountability throughout the organization.

'At Saint Vincent's, our physicians, nurses, and employees are our most important asset, and we are very pleased to welcome Bart Metzger in his leadership role as senior vice president for human resources,' said Henry Amoroso, President and CEO of Saint Vincent's. 'His proven leadership skills and experience will be a tremendous addition to Saint Vincent's, helping to build a culture and workforce that exemplifies our values.'

Mr. Metzger has demonstrated success in providing vision and leadership in progressive employee and labor relations, including recruitment and retention, training and organizational development, and the design and implementation of innovative talent-management programs. Most recently he served as corporate vice president and chief human resources officer at Continuum Health Partners. Previously, he held leadership positions at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center, Georgetown University Hospital and Bellevue Hospital Center.
