Robert D. Ginsberg Named Vice President of Managed Care at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers

New York, NY, January 6, 2009 - Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers (Saint Vincent's) announced the appointment of Robert D. Ginsberg as its Vice President of Managed Care. He will be responsible for all aspects of managed care contract negotiations and operations.

'He has decades of experience from the perspectives of both the provider and managed care organizations, which will assist Saint Vincent's in obtaining the best contracts for its services.'
Prior to joining Saint Vincent's, Mr. Ginsberg worked as Director of Managed Care at Lenox Hill Hospital. He was responsible for negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts with HMOs, PPOs, and other managed care organizations, including commercial, Medicare managed care, and Medicaid managed care. He previously held the position of Vice President of Operations for the Lenox Hill Healthcare Network where he was responsible for negotiating physician group contracts in addition to hospital contracting.
Mr. Ginsberg also held executive positions at three HMOs in the New York area -- Oxford Health Plans, NYLCare (formerly Sanus) and Maxicare. His focus included developing physician networks, negotiating alternative payment mechanisms with physicians and hospitals, and creating a comprehensive credentialing system for large physician networks.
Mr. Ginsberg is a graduate of Swarthmore College, and holds an M.B.A. in Health Care Management from Columbia University.
He assumed his new role at Saint Vincent's on January 5, 2009.
