Adjuvant therapy for cancer

Adjuvant therapy is treatment given before or after cancer surgery to increase the chances of a cure. It destroys microscopic areas of remaining cancer. Adjuvant therapy may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, or a combination of these treatments.
