Physician Assistant, Michael Felcone, Joins St. Vincent's Team at The 14th Street Medical Practice
The 14th Street Medical Practice of St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan welcomes Michael Felcone to its esteemed team of heath care practitioners. Mr. Felcone is a Physician Assistant* who brings a great wealth of talent and expertise to our organization, and we're delighted to have him on board. After graduating from the Drexel University Physician Assistant program in 1996, Mr. Felcone began hands-on training in private practice settings in internal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology, and in general hospital settings in addiction medicine, psychiatry and general surgery. Upon completion of his board certifications, Mr. Felcone began practicing professionally first in the field of family medicine, and then later on moved into the field of endocrinology. His extensive familiarity with treating diabetes and its co-morbidities, such as hypertension, makes Mr. Felcone a superb candidate for the 14th Street Practice.
In addition to his impressive reputation as a Physician Assistant, Mr. Felcone is also regionally renowned as a gifted musician. Before studying medicine, he spent ten years teaching all levels of music theory at the Manhattan School of Music and has performed as a pianist both as a recitalist and soloist with orchestra. He maintains a keen interest in finding intersections between the worlds of the performing arts and medicine. We're hopeful to see what he may contribute to our on-site music therapy program as well.
*Physician Assistants are health professionals licensed by the state to practice medicine under the supervision of a medical doctor.
