Saint Vincent Catholic Medical
Centers (Saint Vincent's) is a major healthcare resource in the greater New York
Metropolitan area. The system is anchored by St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan in
historic Greenwich Village, which serves as the academic medical center for New
York Medical College in New York City and offers residency and fellowship programs in a variety of
specialties and sub-specialties.
Our system also includes St. Vincent's Hospital
Westchester, a behavioral health facility; continuing care services that include
Bishop Mugavero Center for Geriatric Care and Holy Family Home in Brooklyn, St.
Elizabeth Ann's Health Care & Rehabilitation Center and Pax Christi Hospice
on Staten Island, and Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers Home Health Agency,
which delivers comprehensive home care services throughout the five boroughs of
New York City as well as in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. In addition, our
system affiliated with St. Vincent's Midtown Hospital in 2003.
Our outpatient medical and substance abuse treatment
centers serve Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester and the Bronx, and our behavioral
health services provide supportive housing programs for people with mental
illness. We are the designated provider for the New York and New Jersey region
of the US Family Health Plan, sponsored by the US Department of Defense.
Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Brooklyn and
the President of the Sisters of Charity, we combine our mission - to treat with
respect, integrity, compassion and excellence - with an emphasis on technology
and quality. More than 1,000 physicians have chosen to affiliate with our
facilities, and clinical trials and research help us provide the latest
treatments in all specialties.
