Serving Clients in variety of settings

Orders and interprets appropriate lab and diagnostic tests. Devises and implements an initial and ongoing plan of care. Manages treatment modalities in collaboration with physician. Prescribes medications and therapeutic regimens as per established practice protocols. Provides brief therapy and health education to patients and their families. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment staff in implementing treatment plans, documents fully and in a timely manner in the medical record, participates in continuing medical education activities, provides ongoing teaching to the interdisciplinary staff about medical issues.

Requires New York State Licensure as a NPP, previous experience in a hospital setting, good attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with patients, clients, their families as well as all levels of staff. New York State Driver's License and own vehicle required - serve psychiatric clients out in the community.
