Thank you for your interest in our Surgery Residency Training Program at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan/New York Medical College. We offer 6 Categorical and 14 Preliminary (Designated and Non-designated) positions. Our program will be participating in the ERAS program.  If you wish to apply to our program, please check with your institution regarding application procedures for using ERAS. 

Foreign medical graduates are required to be ECFMG certified prior to the interview. The deadline for receipt of the completed application is November 30, 2006. The Application will not be reviewed until it is complete.  

The complete application should include: 

1.       3 Letters of Recommendation (one from the Chairman of Surgery) 
2.       Medical School Transcript 
3.       Deans Letter 
4.       Personal Statement 
5.       USMLE Transcript 
6.       CV

Our selection process is based upon academic performance, letters of recommendation, USMLE scores (minimum score required is 82 percentile), and clinical experience. Research and Publications is preferable but not mandatory. 

Interviews will be held in December and January. The interview invitation will be extended only via email. Interviews are granted on first-come first-serve basis. The only acceptable response is via email.
