Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery

Dr. Spero is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of a number of professional societies, including the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. He is the author of several textbooks and has had articles published in a variety of scientific publications, including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics.

After earning his medical degree from George Washington University, Dr. Spero completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. Spero specializes in pediatric orthopaedic surgery, with a special interest in cerebral palsy.
