Orthopaedics

We offer the complete array of first-class orthopaedic services and  treat our patients with a high level of respect and compassion because our orthopaedists share a common goal:  delivering the best care possible to our patients.

We perform complex surgeries and, whenever possible, the most minimally-invasive arthroscopic surgeries to offer the benefits of less pain and scarring and faster recovery than the more invasive procedures.

Our Services Include Care For:

  • Arthritis
  • Foot and Ankle Injuries
  • Hand and Wrist injuries
  • Joint Replacement
  • Scoliosis Treatment
  • Sports Injuries

Pre-Admission Testing:
An appointment will be made by our Pre-Admission Testing Office.  At this appointment, the patient will experience the following:

  • Blood work
  • EKG
  • Radiology procedure (if ordered)
  • Patients should bring their current medication bottles for review.

The Day of Surgery:
The patient will be called the afternoon before surgery and informed of the time
and location to arrive.  Patients should come directly to the Ambulatory Admission Area. Family members are encouraged to wait in this area to receive regular updates.   Once surgery and a stay in the recovery area is complete, the patient will be transferred to Patient Unit 3C-1.

Orthopedic Rooms:
St. Vincents Patient Care Services is proud to have designated orthopedic rooms available to provide the finest recovery environment.  Our Physical & Occupational Therapists work closely with Nursing Staff to coordinate those first days of care to ensure optimum recovery time.  We have therapists certified in orthopedics and the McKenzie Method.  This team can be depended upon to provide a caring and compassionate environment at the time needed most.

Transitional Care:
Often, a transitional stay at a post acute facility is required after joint replacement.  Should sub-acute care be needed post-surgery, our Care Coordination Team works closely with local sites to provide intense therapy and ensure a smooth transition to home.
