Institute of Emergency Care
Established in 1981, The Institute of Emergency Care is the oldest continuously operating EMS training center in the New York City region. We conduct prehospital programs; such as CPR, Advanced Life Support, EMT and Paramedic.
The institute has graduated over 500 Paramedic alumni in its 20 years of operation. Many of these alumni are still involved in the EMS filed as paramedics, instructors, nurses, physician assistants, and physicians.
The institute conducts a variety of pre-hospital and emergency care training programs for health care professionals as well as the general public. All EMS training programs are approved by the New York State Department of Health's Bureau of EMS.

Paramedic students gain clinical experience at the medical centers specialty care units, as well as on the streets of New York's historical Greenwich Village and the surrounding areas of Midtown Manhattan, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, Tribeca and Lower Manhattan.
