While the residency program is focused on primary care, we know that some residents will ultimately choose to enter fellowships in subspecialty areas of medicine. We have approved fellowships in cardiology, geriatrics, infectious disease, and pulmonary medicine; however, we trust that our program�s emphasis on comprehensive practice and primary care skills will influence residents� career decisions and will serve to benefit all trainees. We encourage our graduates to become members of the attending staff and to practice in the communities surrounding Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, Brooklyn-Queens Service Division.
