Overview

Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center's Queens Service Division's fellowship in infectious diseases provides inpatient and outpatient primary and consultative care for all infectious diseases, including HIV, at many locations within the different communities of Queens.

The philosophy of the infectious disease training program is to present a highly organized and closely supervised learning experience to the fellows over a two-year period. The guiding teaching methodology is the integration and correlation of didactic subject matter into the daily delivery of inpatient and ambulatory healthcare to patients. The program's goal is to produce graduates highly qualified in clinical infectious diseases - physicians who will provide compassionate and humanistic care to their patients in an academic or private practice setting.
