Research and Rotations

Research Opportunities

Residents are required to participate in clinical research projects with faculty members during their three years at SVCMC. All are encouraged to publish these projects or to present them at national, regional or local meetings.

Additional Rotations

To further enrich each resident's clinical experience, rotations are arranged at the private offices of some of the ophthalmology department's attending physicians. This allows residents to come into personal contact with the workings of a private practice.

Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers department of ophthalmology has seen unprecedented growth over the past few years. We are developing new programs to meet current needs and to anticipate changes in the nation's evolving systems for delivering healthcare.
