Dr. Carla Herman reviews medical content for
Healthwise, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help people make better
health decisions. Dr. Herman is an internist who is board-certified in
geriatric medicine. She is a Professor of Medicine in both the Divisions of
Geriatrics and Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of New
Mexico, Albuquerque. She has been at UNM since 1994.
Dr. Herman
graduated with both an MPH and MD degree from the University of Minnesota. She
went on to obtain her Internal Medicine residency training at the University of
Minnesota and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland,
Ohio, where she also completed her fellowship in Geriatrics.
