Dr. Patrick McMahon reviews medical content for

health decisions. Dr. McMahon provides comprehensive care for shoulder and
elbow problems and treatment for basic knee injuries. He founded McMahon
Orthopedics and Rehabilitation (MORe) in 2006 after serving 12 years in
academic medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the
University of California, Irvine, where he was director of Sports Medicine. A
graduate of Temple University Medical School, he completed an orthopedic
surgery residence at the University of Pittsburgh and a sports medicine
fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic clinic in Los Angeles.
Dr. McMahon is editor of the book, Current Diagnosis and Treatment in Sports Medicine. He has authored more than 100 publications
and has been a speaker at numerous international, national, and regional
meetings.
Dr. McMahon was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa
and the prestigious Society of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He is also
a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and of the Orthopedic
Research Society. He continues his research into improvements in treating
shoulder instability and rotator cuff tears.
