Intimate relationships for people with cerebral palsy

Some teens and young adults with cerebral palsy may need more help than other people their age to prepare for developing intimate relationships. A recent study found that more than 90% of adults with cerebral palsy desired more sexual education.1

There are professionals trained to help people with physical disabilities have satisfying intimate relationships. If you think that your family member needs more information than you can provide, talk with your health professional for suggestions or resources that may be available in your area.
