Inpatient Mental Health Services

A multi-disciplinary staff, led on each unit by a psychiatrist and nurse manager, provides treatment for acute psychiatric disorders. Services include individual therapy, pharmacotherapy, patient/family education and rehabilitative activities, as well as pharmacy, radiology and laboratory services. An internist and nurse practitioner are available on a daily basis.

General Psychiatry
Adult patients in an acute phase of a psychiatric illness are evaluated and stabilized through intensive short-term inpatient treatment. Services include individual therapy, crisis-oriented family therapy, group therapy, pharmacotherapy and patient education.

Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation Program
Following a full psychiatric and medical evaluation, patients receive intensive alcoholism and other chemical dependency treatment, as well as treatment for any co-occurring psychiatric illness. Patients participate in individual therapy, daily group counseling, a didactic lecture series and daily AA/NA meetings. For more information about our chemical dependency programs, click here.

Mature Adult Program
The program offers a therapeutic environment designed to promote the safety, physical well-being and mental health of older adults suffering from acute psychiatric disorders. Services for Co-occurring Disorders
In all of the inpatient programs, comprehensive services are available to patients who require treatment for a dual diagnosis of mental illness and chemical dependency or mental illness and developmental disabilities.

Adolescent Program
Adolescents ages 13 to 18 receive comprehensive assessment and treatment in a structured environment. The staff helps patients to identify problematic behaviors and make adaptive changes.
