The Saint Vincent's Trauma and Wellness Center is a New York State licensed mental health outpatient program that offers mental health services to the public and treats underserved populations, the financially needy, and people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. The program also provides services to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and their families in collaboration with veterans organizations.
The center began in the immediate aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks to help those suffering from PTSD and other trauma reactions. In late 2008 we received licensing as a fee-for-service program, committed to using our experience in providing psychological first aid and trauma treatment to serve a wider population.
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, 9/11 Benefit Fund, Child Health Plus and most private health insurance. We also have a sliding scale fee, based on income, for individuals without insurance or other coverage.
